When you receive a bouquet from Arbour Blooms, you might notice the silvery-green eucalyptus weaving through the design — its soft scent, its graceful drape, the way it brings every flower to life. What you might not know is just how short the journey from field to florist really is.
That eucalyptus is grown by us, on our own farm in Lusk, north County Dublin.
A Family of Businesses, A Single Standard
Arbour Blooms is part of a wider family of businesses that includes Tanner’s Foliage, our sister company and one of Ireland’s leading commercial foliage growers. Across our farm in Lusk, we cultivate eucalyptus through every season, harvesting it fresh and bringing it directly into our florist workrooms in Swords, Skerries and Lusk.
There are no long-haul flights, no week-long journeys through cold stores, no middlemen. The eucalyptus you see in our bouquets was very likely growing in an Irish field just days before it reached our customers.
Recognised Among the Best in the World
Tanner’s Foliage is proud to be associated with Decorum, the renowned Dutch growers’ group based in Naaldwijk, Holland. Decorum is a premium brand built on the work of more than fifty top growers across Europe, all sharing a commitment to quality, innovation and sustainability.
To stand alongside those growers is a real honour, and a real benchmark. It means our eucalyptus is held to the same exacting standards as the finest flowers and foliage produced anywhere in the world. For our customers, that recognition translates into something simple: when you buy from Arbour Blooms, you are receiving foliage that genuinely sits at the top of its field.
Sustainable, Irish, and Built to Last
Growing our own eucalyptus on Irish soil is more than a story — it’s a sustainability commitment. Most foliage on the European market travels thousands of miles before it reaches a florist’s bench. Ours travels a few miles down the road. That dramatically reduces the carbon footprint of every bouquet we sell, and it supports Irish horticulture, Irish jobs, and Irish land care at the same time.
There is a practical benefit, too. Because our eucalyptus is harvested at peak condition and reaches you so quickly, it has an exceptional vase life. Customers regularly tell us their eucalyptus is still looking beautiful long after the rest of the bouquet has had its moment. That freshness isn’t a happy accident — it is the natural result of a short, careful supply chain.
Why It Matters
When you choose Arbour Blooms, you are choosing more than a bouquet. You are choosing flowers framed by foliage that is Irish-grown, world-recognised, sustainably produced, and built to last. You are supporting a homegrown business that takes real pride in what it puts into your hands.
From our farm in Lusk to your kitchen table, every stem tells a story we are proud to share.
