A Fresh Chapter for Our Skerries Home

Our Skerries shop on Strand Street is the original Arbour Blooms — the place my mother Frances opened thirty years ago, and the heart of everything we've built since. So when it came time to renovate, it wasn't just a business decision. It felt like a moment to honour where we came from, and to recommit to the town that has supported us for three decades.

30+ Years in Skerries 22+Staff across our stores

There's something special about coming back to where it all began.

Over the past year, we gave the shop a complete overhaul. New shopfront, new glass, new door — rewired, replumbed, and fully insulated from top to bottom. Everything you see when you walk in is brand new. We wanted it to be bright, warm, and welcoming, and most of all, we wanted it to feel like a proper flower shop again.

What's new

You can watch our florists making bouquets right beside the till. A second large prep room and walk-in cold room keep the flowers at their freshest. New outdoor display shelving with our own planted arrangements brings a splash of colour to Strand Street. And everything — flowers, plants, candles, diffusers — is beautifully displayed and clearly priced.

One of the things we were most intentional about was bringing back the

experience of being in a florist. When you come in now, there's a lot to look at, a lot of variety and choice, and you can see the craft happening right in front of you. That matters to us.

Even during the four weeks of renovation, we kept trading — a pop-up container out front kept things going, and honestly it worked so well it gave us new ideas about using that outdoor space all year round.

This renovation felt like the right way to mark thirty years — not just tidying things up, but investing properly in the place that started it all. Skerries is where Arbour Blooms began, and it's still where our heart is.
